From the audience to the art work and back again
It is in this in-between space that the art educators of the OK “Offenes Kulturhaus” Upper Austria operate. They create spaces of encounter, taking into consideration the prior knowledge, age and interests of the visitors.
We develop special programs for each exhibition, which are designed for the respective audience. A guided tour makes it easier to actively engage with contemporary art, offers points of contact and opens up new perspectives.
In dialogically conceived units of 90 minutes our trained art educators guide children and young people to the exhibition content. Points of contact with the life world of the young people are found and discussions encouraged. Hands-on activities and playful tasks in small groups dispel shyness and foster creativity. A glimpse behind the scenes at the OK is also possible.
Guided Tours for Groups by Appointment
In a guided tour we take into account the prior knowledge, interests and time constraints of our guests.
For groups of nine or more, guided tours can also be booked outside regular opening hours. Tours in English, French or Turkish are available on request.
